Serving Mini-Cassia Inc.
The Minidoka and Cassia County area in southern Idaho
Therapy Pets Serving Mini-Cassia is a local group of volunteers that are registered either through the Delta Society or by Therapy Dogs Inc. We are working together to serve the Mini-Cassia area. We are currently visiting nine local facilities. If you have passed your evaluation with your pet and wish to join our group we would be glad to have you. Additional teams are always welcome to join. The number of visits and choice of facilities are up to each member. We now down to seven handlers and 10 pets giving us a total of eleven teams. In July we assist the Civil Air Patrol with their scone booth in Rupert over the 4th of July week. Below is a picture of the booth from July 2006. We will be there again this year so come by and see us!
Current News
We have had a tough year with people traveling for work, ill people and dogs. Reggie has had to retire due to health issues, Ellie has been diagnosed with Cancer and will be retiring this year, and Sassy has an injury that keeps flaring up keeping her from being able to visit. Hopefully things will get better! The scone booth from the 4th did well and our share of the profits was a little over $1,900 which will cover our expenses for the year.
